Our Story

This World Was Never Meant to Be Our Home

How a dinner conversation, a dream, and a simple bracelet launched a movement to share the Gospel one person at a time.

The Problem

Tracts leave people with more questions than answers and nowhere trustworthy to turn. The internet is full of noise, false doctrine, and zero guidance.

The Solution

A bracelet engraved with Philippians 3:20 and the Occupy Heaven website. A conversation starter that bridges the gap between a moment and the message.

The Mission

Plant seeds everywhere we go. Whether it’s five minutes or five seconds, the person walks away with something that points them to the Gospel.

The Gap

There Had to Be a Better Way

Sharing the Gospel through tracts has been around for a long time, and there’s nothing wrong with the idea. But in practice, many people are put off by them. Those who do receive one often walk away with more questions than answers and no clear place to turn. Sending someone into the internet alone to find spiritual truth is risky. There’s too much noise, too much false doctrine, and too little guidance.

I kept thinking there had to be a better way.

The Moment It Changed

A Dinner, a Dream, and a Calling

At dinner one night, someone started telling me how aliens would save us, how science would extend life to immortality, and how we’d colonize other planets. I asked them how they could put so much faith in hypothetical ideas but never consider that the God who created this universe already had a solution in place far greater than anything man could dream up.

I told them that man may be trying to occupy Mars, but God has already made a way for us to occupy Heaven. It just takes faith and repentance in the God who created you.

“This world was never meant to be our home. Our goal is to occupy Heaven.”

That night I had a dream replaying that conversation. At the end I said those words. I woke up and wrote it down immediately.

I prayed about it for days, trying to figure out if God was nudging me or if I was just overthinking a dream. Every time I pushed it aside, another idea came. Eventually I couldn’t ignore it. I told God I would move forward, and Occupy Heaven was born.

The Bracelet

Occupy Heaven centers on one simple tool: a bracelet engraved with Philippians 3:20 and the Occupy Heaven website address. It’s a conversation starter, a leave-behind, and a bridge.

Whether you have five minutes or five seconds, the person walks away with something that points them to the Gospel message, next steps, follow-up content, and even a way to request a free Bible.

Taking It Further

One-on-one conversation is always the goal, but time and circumstances don’t always allow it. So the movement has grown in creative ways.

A large OccupyHeaven.org sticker on the back of my Jeep has people pulling out their phones at red lights

Halloween candy buckets filled with bracelets drew reactions on the Ring camera that were genuinely humbling

Local businesses allowing small bracelet displays at checkout

Flyers pinned to restaurant bulletin boards

Stickers on laptops and water bottles sparking curiosity in airports and coffee shops

Bracelets left on Jeep door handles as a twist on the Jeep duck tradition

The goal isn’t to do it all ourselves. We plant seeds. After that, it’s the Holy Spirit’s work in their hearts and the next believer they encounter. It’s a Kingdom effort, and we’re called to be obedient.
